Hello kittens,
I had a kick-ass day, and I don’t like instinctively want to hold anyone to the fire right now or anything, but I want to talk for half a second about Joe Biden’s recent much publicized comments about gay marriage:
I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.
Far be it for me to fight a friend.
But the unhinged Democratic vice president saying he was “comfortable” with the concept that I have rights is about all gay people can expect from the Democratic party for a while on this issue.
Because gay people sure as shit can’t afford to hold the Democratic party accountable on marriage.
But…well, let me attempt to say this in heterosexual speak: you don’t win a bowl game for what’s in your play book. You win by moving that pigskin into the end zone.
(That metaphor was exHAUSting!)
So we’re gonna keep cheering. But you just hustle every once in a while, ok?
